Flex films are a very popular material used in thermal transfer. Flex heat-sealable foils are cut on a cutting plotter and then applied to the selected base using a heat transfer press. Depending on the properties of the film and the final effect, there are a lot of types heat transfer vinyls: from standard, metallic, glitter, lacquered, neon, reflective, structured and others. Hotmark Revolution Film is made of a high quality matt polyurethane flex (black), laminated with a thermally activated glue. It is adapted for transfer on different textiles like nylon, cotton, polyester and similar fibers, 70-80 microns.
The most important advantages of this film are: thin, versatile, stretchable and self adhesive carrier. Certified Oeko-tex label Standard 100.
The hotmark revolution also offers possibilities of: quick application or low temperature.
When you transfer Hotmark Revolution in low temperature, it works like sublistop (allows to avoid ink migration from the fabric). Application in this temperature is recommended mainly to sublimated fabrics, workwear, softshell etc.
Instruction:
- Cut the material in reverse with regular flex blade
- Weed the excess material
- Position your design on the textile and
heat it, depending on the type of texttiles and method of application:
Cotton, polyester - two heating methods application:
- Quick application - high temperature, short time: 140°C, time: 5 sec
- Standard application - low temperature, longer time: 120°C, time: 20 sec
Nylon the application should be done in 2 steps:
- Step 1: 140°C, time: 5 sec and peel the carrier while warm
- Step 2: 140°C, time: 15 sec
ATTENTION: we recommend performing tests before making the actual application!
Washing:
- Max 60°C : Cotton & Polyester
- Max 40°C : Nylon
- Preferably inside out
- Do not bleach
- Tumble-dry approved
- Dry-cleaning approved
The film has the Oeko-Tex standard 100 certificate. It proves the quality of textile products which come into direct contact with human skin. The Oeko-Tex certificate guarantees that products are free of 100 the most dangerous substances that threaten health (including formaldehyde, pesticides or substances that often cause allergies). Smells and resistance to sweat and saliva are also assessed.
This foil has been awarded the EVE Vegan certificate, which means that any animal-derived materials haven't been used in production. Textiles with film's prints fit perfectly into the popular vegan lifestyle.
